I have been tutoring students from primary school to secondary school for 3 years. Taught EMS (Primary level), Chinese (Primary & Lower Sec), Lower Sec Science & Mathematics, Pure Physics, Pure Chemistry and A/E Mathematics. My specialty is Mathematics at all levels (except JC), able to guide students to achieve A in Maths. Through these years, I have learnt alot and I find myself more effective in tutoring.
My students find their grades improved over time, being more prepared for examinations. Personally, I believe in right studying strategies for a better learning experience. This mentality has helped me excelled in NUS where I obtained the prestigious Dean's list.
The subjects I am teaching now are Maths and Science and my current students are in Maths Olympiad (Primary school), Sec 4N and Sec1E (5 Students).
Remarks:
I adopt a 3-prong approach in tutoring:
1. Strengthen those concepts the students are weak in through comprehensive explanations and practice. (80%)
2. Examination techniques i.e. things/questions to look out for, time management, and answering techniques. (15%)
3. Refresh on past work/lessons done to keep students on track. (5%)
